CHANDIGARH: Admission season is marked by a deep anxiety among students aspiring to crack entrance exams to get into postgraduate courses in the city. The interviews and entrance exams are slated for June and July.
For those aspiring to get into post-graduate courses in Panjab University and affiliated colleges, dates of the respective courses have been announced and uploaded on official websites.

Government colleges will come up with a joint prospectus for all colleges soon.
Courses where students are being admitted on the basis of merit of previous batches include MSc anthropology, defense and national security, language departments, Hindi, library science, public administration, sociology, Urdu, statistics and women's studies.
Colleges are also being flooded with queries related to postgraduate programmes. Delhi University and Panjab University departments are the most sought after.
"We will be adding a new add on course in the graduate subjects and disseminate information through the prospectus and website," said Meera Modi, principal of Dev samaj College, Sector 45.
"A new postgraduate diploma in mass communication is being started in the college for the first time since many girls have been opting for the subject in the last few years," said an official of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26.
On the whole, this is a frenetic and decisive time for thousands of students aspiring for admission in the institutes of their choice.
