Police bus runs over 2 labourers in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: A police bus carrying jail inmates ran over two migrant labourers here on Monday on the national highway No 1. Sources said that the two labourers were changing the flat tyre of an autorickshaw near the Dholewal Chowk here when the bus on its way to the courts ran over them.
They were rushed to the Civil Hospital but one of them was declared brought dead while the other succumbed to his injuries a little while later.
One of the deceased was identified as Vinod Kumar, a resident of Fauji Colony. The police has arrested the bus driver hawaldar Ranjit Singh.
