Police: Accused also involved in drug deal case

Chandigarh: Commenting on the Manimajra murder case, the police claimed that the victim, Hemant Patel, was the senior-most staff among the six employees and used to dominate the accused, Karan Thakur. Patel was murdered after a drunken brawl on Monday. During further interrogation of the accused, the police found that Thakur was earlier arrested for a drug smuggling case by Himachal police and was out on bail. In the meantime, police produced the accused before the local court which sent him to two days police custody. The UT police also claimed that Thakur had done hotel management from Singapore.
