PANCHKULA: The Panchkula municipal commissioner Sachin Gupta on Monday took a review meeting of all the branches in his office situated in Sector-14 and took stock of the situation on ground from the engineering officials with regards to the monsoon season. Joint MC commissioner Dr. Richa Rathi, deputy municipal commissioner Apoorva Chaudhary, superintendent enginer (SE) Vijay Goyal and other branch officers were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, MC Commissioner Sachin Gupta first asked the tax branch about the action being taken regarding property tax over which, executive officer (EO) Akash Kapoor told the MC commissioner that out of 187 government properties, not even a single property had deposited its tax.
The commissioner ordered Kapoor to give a seven-day notice to all government properties whose property tax is due and if even after this, if any government property does not deposit its tax, then the process of sealing of all government properties should start. tnn
