arbitrator
has sent notices to both parties to make a personal appearance and run parking in a smooth manner. As per the MoU, the municipal commissioner will be the arbitrator, who will listen to both parties to resolve their issues.
Arya Toll Infra and MC parking branch have been asked to appear in the first week of August. This will be their first appearance before the arbitrator and both parties will come with details.
Sources said the paid parking company has issued two notices related to monetary loss and problems they face in running the paid parking system. Also, the matter is in court and both parties are trying to press their case before the arbitrator.
“Both sides need to act as per the MoU. Currently, both have issues and have been blaming each other. During the last hearing, the high court said the features decided upon in the MoU should be there,” sources said.
On Thursday, municipal commissioner K K Yadav informed the house about the notices sent by the paid parking company to the MC and the issue of arbitration. A few MC councillors questioned the report prepared by the MC on anomalies. The commissioner told them the matter is in high court and the MC is strongly presenting its viewpoint there.
