Pane broken, car goods stolen

CHANDIGARH: Unidentified miscreants smashed the windowpane of a car parked in a Sector 35 parking lot and stole its music system, speakers and pen-drive. The car belonged to Naresh Sharma of Sector 43.
'Naresh parked his car near Kisan Bhawan in Sector 35 where the accused broke the windowpane to steal the stereo, speakers and an 8 GB pen-drive. We have registered a case,' said a police official.
Police said it seemed the accused were experts in breaking car windows as they did not make noise. On June 28, unidentified miscreants broke the windowpanes of five cars parked outside a multiplex in Industrial Area, Phase I.
The accused stole car stereos from the vehicles. In another incident on June 25, the accused broke the windowpanes of a car parked in Sector 7 and decamped with a suitcase containing Rs 2,100, important documents and cheque books.
