Panchkula Bhavan's Chinmay tops Tricity with AIR 42 in JEE

CHANDIGARH: Chinmay Khokar of Bhavan Vidyalaya School, Panchkula, topped the Tricity with AIR (All India Rank) 42 in the JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Advanced result declared on Sunday.

Harsh Jhakar of Bal Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, Chandigarh, came second with AIR 48 followed by Anirudh Garg of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, with AIR 50.

Chinmay, a resident of Sector 43, said, "I am feeling blessed to be one of the JEE Advanced achievers. Because of the platform provided by my teachers, brother's guidance and parent's support, I have reached where I am today."

Sector 35 resident Harsh has won a silver medal in International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2022 held virtually in Switzerland. He was also selected for International Astronomy Olympiad (IOA) 2022 but could not participate due to parallel selection in IPhO. He said, "I received endless support from my family and teachers."

Anirudh, a resident of Sector 16, said, "My teachers motivated me to aim for the sky. My parents fully supported me. I believe that one should have the right mindset and be confident and trust his/her teachers to gain a good score."

A total of 1,55,538 candidates appeared in both papers 1 and 2 in JEE (Advanced) 2022. This year, the exam was held in 577 centres in 124 cities.

The result was notified to students through a text message on the registered mobile numbers.

Candidates could check details on all India ranks, scores, category-wise rank and more.

The authorities said it would release the complete list of candidates who appeared in the exam, along with the name of the topper, with all the ranks.
