YAMUNANAGAR: Unknown persons on Saturday dropped a packet in Yamunanagar jail containing eight mobile phones. “Coincidently when the packet was thrown it was noticed by a guard, who handed it over to us within no time,” said jail superintendent
Ratan Kumar.
The packet was thrown from the back of jail compound that is surrounded by trees. A guard on the duty saw the packet being flung into the jail and alerted his seniors.
“The jail building is surrounded by a huge open space on three sides while on the fourth there are fields. Hence, it is difficult to see who threw the packet as they disappeared before we could check,” the jail superintendent added.
