New Pkl top cop holds crime review meeting
Panchkula: Newly appointed commissioner of police (CP), Panchkula, Sanjay Kumar on Saturday took a meeting with all units of Panchkula police at his office in Mansa Devi Complex. “Crime against minors and women must be registered as soon as the complaint is received at the police station,” officials were directed by the new CP.
The newly appointed CP, during the meeting with an agenda to maintain law and order situation and to curb crime rate, talked to all ACP’s, SHOs, anti-crime units, traffic wing and security branch officials at his office.He asked all unit in charges to identify and prepare a list of all miscreants in their respective areas and keep a strict vigil on their activities.

Special check posts and patrolling should be done for showing police presence and to curtail illegal activities, he added.
The CP asked all units to register crime against women and minors on priority and said no lenience in such matters would be tolerated at all by any official. While talking further, he asked all units in charges to prepare a plan and nab the heinous criminals involved in illegal arms supply, drug trafficking, gambling and illicit liquor.
A list of proclaimed offenders and bail jumpers must be prepared and special teams be formed to nab them. The CP also directed the officials to work strategically in the vehicle thefts and burglaries cases by increasing patrolling and using all necessary investigation to nab the accused.
Over the increasing cyber crime, the CP asked the police officers to create awareness as they could do in the public and also to use advance technology to nab the culprits.
