Nek Chand remembered on his 94th birth anniversary

CHANDIGARH: The 94th birth anniversary of Nek Chand, the man behind the famous sculpture garden called the Rock Garden, was celebrated at the third phase of Rock Garden on Saturday. Nek Chand passed away in June 2015.
The UT home secretary, Arun Kumar Gupta paid floral tribute at the memorial of the Nek Chand. A musical programme was also organised by the Rock Garden Society for the visitors.The old songs sung by young artists gave a melodious touch to the beautiful evening dedicated to the iconic artist. To continue with the celebrations, a ghazal evening will be organised on Sunday.
Nek Chand's son Anuj Saini said that the event witnessed a spectacular participation. Anuj also started the work to repair damaged sculptures in the garden.
