CHANDIGARH: Health services in the state were affected at government hospitals and dispensaries in Haryana for the fourth straight day on Friday because of the ongoing strike by National Health Mission (
NHM
) employees.
NHM Employees' Association president Surender Gautam confirmed on Friday that the strike was on across the state except at isolated places. Gautam said regular employees of the state health department had expressed solidarity with them. "Regular health employees across the state have decided to wear black badges on Saturday in our support," said Gautam.
Among political parties, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced support for the agitation and demanded the government to resolve issues raised by NHM workers.

said party workers would visit the striking employees on Saturday to extend support to them.
The agitating employees have demanded salaries and allowances equivalent to the employees of state health department or regularization of their services. Haryana government on Thursday had dismissed 53 more employees of NHM from service for leading the striking employees. They have also been charged with instigating other employees and preventing them from performing their duties and creating problems for the patients.
The government has imposed Section 144 of CrPC within a radius of 1km of all public hospitals to keep striking employees away. State health minister
