Security breach at Parliament: 'My daughter not a terrorist, just wants a job'

GASHO KHURD/UCHANA KALAN: Farmers and leaders of three khaps held a panchayat under the aegis of Haryana Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (HSKM) at Uchana Kalan town of in Haryana's Jind district in support of Neelam Verma (37), who was arrested on Wednesday for breaching Parliament security.
Neelam's mother, inconsolable since the FIR against Neelam, told TOI: "My daughter is not a terrorist but is depressed due to unemployment.

When Neelam sustained spine injuries in 2015 and had no job, she decided not to marry. She just wants a job. I am worried about her health as she can't sit for a long time due to her injuries."
The panchayat in its resolutions demanded Neelam be released, charges against her be dropped, and the media be objective in the matter. It decided to extend all support, including legal aid, to her. HSKM leader Azad Palwa told TOI Neelam did nothing wrong by "raising her voice for the voiceless".
