Murder of domestic help: All accused acquitted

, on 04/12/2017 acquitted all accused in the case. "All the accused namely Madhurjit Sharma, Sonia Sharma, Yuvraj Sharma, Rajinder Singh, Narinder Singh, Maninder Singh, Ramandeep and Harinder Singh are acquitted for offences under Sections 365, 302, 201 and 120-B of IPC and under Section 25 of Arms Act," the court said in its order.

have arrested seven persons of

here for the murder of a 19-year-old domestic servant. Addressing a press conference, Patiala superintendent of police (investigation) Harvinder Singh said that the victim Anoop Kumar was shot dead on June 3.

Anupam Verma, brother of the deceased, lodged a missing person report with the police on June 12. A call on Anoop's mobile phone led to some unknown person who disclosed that the cellphone was found in a bus near Ambala.

On persistent questioning, Madhurjit and his

wife

broke down and narrated the whole story. Five others who helped in disposing of the body have also been arrested.
