MOGA: Moga to Melbourne is all about turning the failures into success. Pollywood actors and satirists are trying to spread a message that everything is not shifting to the US, Canada or Australia but our youth can achieve success here, between our people. The message is loud and clear but is being given in a comic way.
Satirist cum politician Bhagwant Mann has conceived a Punjabi film titled 'Moga to Melbourne via Chandigarh'.

The idea behind the movie is to motivate those youths aspiring to go to Western countries and failing in their missions, to achieve successes here in Punjab by hard work.
Bhagwant Mann is of the opinion that Chandigarh is slowly becoming the hub for education as youth from all over Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal come to Chandigarh with scores of dreams. "Bahut munde aethe supnia di udari maran aunde ne ate ahne cho bahutian de khamb katte jaande ne, oh na aedher de rahnde ne na odhar de lekin pher bhi bahut is nakamyabi nu kise taran kaamyabi ch badlde ne" (Many youth come calling to Chandigarh with a lot of dreams. The dreams of many get shattered and they find themselves in desperate situations. In this dismal scenario, some turn their failures into successes), said Bhagwant Mann elaborating about the theme of 'Moga to Melbourne' while talking to TOI. He said the film has been made in a comic way to motivate those youth who fail to migrate, and to achieve whatever they want, here.
The shooting of the film started on Wednesday and will continue for 35 days in and around Chandigarh, and will be released around Diwali. Renowned Punjabi singers Ravinder Grewal, Harjit Harman, Aman Grewal, Daljit Kaur, and Manpreet Kaur figure in this upcoming Punjabi flick. The story and dialogues are written by Bhagwant himself along with Bachan Bedil. Moga, situated at the gateway of Doaba region of Punjab, more known as the NRI belt, has many families who have shifted base to US, UK, Canada, Australia and other European countries.
Earlier Bhagwant Mann had popularized Punjabi 'Kolaveri' while unsuccessfully contesting Punjab assembly election in January 2012.
