Missing man case turns murder; wife, lover held in Fatehabad

Hisar: Police claimed to have cracked the case of Naseeb Kumar's disappearance from Sadhanwas village in Fatehabad's Jakhal area, revealing it was a murder. Two people, including his wife, have been arrested.Preliminary investigation suggests that Naseeb allegedly used to assault his wife, Pooja, under the influence of alcohol, following which she developed a relationship with Shravan Kumar. The two allegedly conspired and strangled Naseeb to death.Tohana deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Jai Bhagwan said the deceased's elder brother, Raghunath Kumar, filed a complaint on March 5, stating that Naseeb had been missing since the morning of March 2. During the investigation, police found signs of foul play and later detained Pooja and Shravan Kumar for questioning. During interrogation, both allegedly confessed to the crime.To destroy evidence, the accused tied the body with stones and dumped it into the Bhakra Canal, police said.The accused will be produced before a court to seek their police custody, cops said.
