CHANDIGARH: The Mohali police on Thursday recovered the body of 38-year-old Suresh Yadav, a senior auditor with the Haryana accountant general’s office, who had been missing for last 10 days, from the Sisvan dam near the the Chandigarh-Baddi road.
Suresh Yadav, a resident of Sector 21, Panchkula, disappeared on March 26 from Chandigarh under mysterious circumstances.

The Mohali police said the body was floating in the river when it was spotted by a passerby.
Notably, the scooter of the deceased was recovered two days ago from near Dhanas village. The family members of deceased had lodged a missing report in the Sector 34 police station while on their demand, investigation of the matter was later handed over to the crime branch.
The Mohali police ruled out any foul play in the incident and claimed it was a case of suicide. However, the exact reason would be confirmed after the postmortem examination.
The family members had levelled serious allegations for harassment of Suresh Yadav by his office colleagues while police had given them a clean chit. The deceased is survived by wife and two minor sons. The deceased’s father BL Yadav retired as chief auditor from the Haryana State Electricity Board.
