YAMUNANAGAR: Following the murder of a 16-year-old boy after stabbing with a sharp-edged weapon, the district police arrested a man on Tuesday.
The arrested accused has been identified as Tarsem Singh of Balachaur village of Yamunanagar district. Tarsem was produced before the district court, which sent him to a day police remand.
Sanjeev Kumar of Damopura village lodged a complaint to the police alleging that his son Aryan was studying in Class XI at Government Senior Secondary School, Khadri.
“My son was doing the work of DJ/music system also and had gone to a marriage party with his DJ in Telipura village of the district on January 19. Aryan was killed by two persons near Dadupur canal head with some sharp-edged weapons on the night of January 19”, said Sanjeev Kumar.
Chhachhrauli police station house officer (SHO) Amarjeet Singh said that after getting information of the murder, a police team headed by sub-inspector Prakash Chand was formed and taking immediate action, Tarsem was arrested. The SHO said that the accused has been taken on one-day police remand, under which, information will be ascertained about the reason behind the murder.
