CHANDIGARH: While reacting to the
clashes that broke out in Nuh, Haryana home minister Anil Vij on Tuesday alleged that the violence is a "mastermind's plan".
Haryana violence live updatesThe home minister said that the way violence took place, with the collection of stones and firing bullets, indicates that it did not happen suddenly, rather, it was a mastermind plan of someone who wants to disturb the peace of the country and the state.
Vij said that the state government officials have been ordered to investigate the entire matter, and whoever is guilty will not be spared.
Airforce on standby
Twenty companies of security forces have been called from the centre, and the Air Force has also been kept on standby so that authorities will be ready in case an airlift is needed.
Vij also appealed to the political parties that this is not the time to play politics.
"It is the time to restore peace and tranquility. The political parties that are speaking out should restore peace with their own resources," he said.
Curfew imposed
Home minister Anil Vij said the situation in Nuh is "under control" and curfew has been imposed in Nuh along with suspension of internet services.
He said that on Monday also, forces were deployed from the districts adjacent to Nuh, and on Tuesday forces are being sent from other parts of Haryana as well.
Three cops on ventilator
Vij said that so far, two home guard personnel have been martyred, one unknown person has died, and a large number of police personnel have been injured.
Vij added that three policemen who have been shot are on ventilators and their treatment is ongoing.
