Chandigarh: The Punjab Congress on Monday claimed that the CM Bhagwant Mann-led government in the state had failed to control illicit drug trade and use.
Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa said the government had failed to deliver on promises made before elections. “What happened to the tall promises and claims made by you and you political master, Arvind Kejriwal, before the assembly polls? Unfortunately, you have failed to walk the talk,” Bajwa said to Mann.
He said disturbing pictures and videos of young men and women under the influence of drugs in Punjab were doing the rounds on social media. Bajwa said the AAP government seemed to have no clue how to deal with the problem. “...Youth are being sucked into the quagmire of drugs every day, right before our eyes, but Mann is busy campaigning in Gujarat. This is deplorable,” added Bajwa. tnn
