Man who shot newlywed woman arrested

Amritsar: Police arrested the man who allgedly shot a newlywed woman travelling with her husband on a scooter in Tarn Taran on Feb 21. When the police later took the accused to a spot to recover the weapon, he tried to escape. While attempting to flee, he jumped from a height and fractured his leg.In a viral video, the youth identified as Karan is seen limping in police custody, and a video of the incident surfaced. In the video, he was also seen apologising to the police.
The accused, is heard saying, "Sir, please forgive me. I made a mistake. I am in a lot of pain. I am unable to walk. I will never do this again. Please forgive me." The woman is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital.
