Khadoor Sahib: A 29-year-old was killed on Sunday when he was attacked when returning home after casting his vote.
Bunty Singh, 29, was a resident of Sarli Kalan village, which falls under Khadoor Sahib parliamentary constituency.
A group of men allegedly attacking him sharp-edged weapons. He was rushed to a hospital, where he scummed to injuries.
However senior superintendent of police Tarn Taran Kuldeep Singh denied that the incident was a poll violence or related with polling .
“The incident happened nearly a kilometre from the polling station. The deceased had an old animosity with the other group and this incident happened with sudden provocation “ he said, adding that police had identified the assailants and had even arrested one of them.
