Man gets life term for killing wife, kids

Chandigarh: District and sessions court in Sirsa on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to a man for murdering his wife and two children.

Vinod Kumar, a school bus driver by profession, had thrown his wife Suman Rani and three children Raveena, 10, Saurabh, 8, and Mukesh, 6, into the canal after giving them sedatives. Though Mukesh had survived, Suman, Raveena and Saurabh drowned.

In a bid to mislead the police, Vinod had lodged a missing report. During investigations, police suspected foul place.

On December 4, Vinod was arrested and booked for the triple murder.
