Man dies as wall of his house collapses

Hisar: A 42-year-old man died after a wall of his house collapsed on him in Badchhapper village under the Bas area of Hansi district. The deceased was identified as Sombir. The incident occurred when he was reportedly demolishing a part of his old house to construct a new one.According to reports, he dismantled a wall of a room on the rooftop when it suddenly gave away, trapping him under the debris. Family members and nearby residents rushed to his aid and pulled him out and took him to a private hospital in Hansi.After preliminary treatment, doctors referred him to Hisar Civil Hospital. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries late Friday night. The body was handed over to the family on Saturday after a post-mortem examination.On the complaint of the deceased's wife, Tara, police at Bas police station initiated proceedings under accidental death.Sombir is survived by his wife and children.
