Man caught with 10kg plastic bags

Panchkula: The sanitation branch of the Panchkula Municipal Corporation (MC) caught a person with 10kg plastic carry bags and imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on him. MC officials said that they were constantly monitoring use of plastic carry bags and supply of polythene as the government had banned its use. The MC team received information about the sale of plastic carry bags in bulk in the Sector 20 market. Acting on the information, a team of the sanitation wing reached Sector 20 and seized 10kg polythene from a person identified as Ravi from Sector 20 vegetable market. Assistant sanitation inspector Ajay Sood said a few vendors informed him about the youth. tnn
