Mohali: Police have booked a man for allegedly breaking the legs of his employer after being rebuked for reporting on duty in a drunken state.
The accused is
Gurdeep Singh of Kalewal village, Kurali. He hit his employer Nazar Singh with an iron rod on his legs.
Nazar Singh said he works as a contractor in Punjab Greater Building society in Salamatpur village near Mullanpur.
He said Bugar Singh and Gurdeep Singh of his village work as labourer and plumber. He said Gurdeep Singh came to work in an inebriated condition. When he objected, Gurdeep argued with him. Later, the accused entered the room of Nazar Singh and attacked him with an iron rod repeatedly. Nazar Singh was admitted to Government Multi-specialty Hospital, Sector 16. Police registered a case under Sections 325 and 506 of the IPC. TNN
