Man booked for fake bail bond

Chandigarh: Police booked a person for allegedly furnishing a fake bail bond in local court. Police said an accused was granted bail in a drug case. The court directed him to furnish bail bond of Rs 75,000 with a surety. Rajesh Puri, 60, a resident of Ludhiana, stood as surety. Inquiry revealed Puri allegedly furnished surety bond with the help of a different Aadhaar card number, whereas he had allegedly furnished a surety on a previous occasion with a different Aadhaar card.  tnn
