Man, 2 others get life term for killing wife in Fazilka

Fazilka: A court in Fazilka has sentenced a man and two others to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife. A fine of Rs 60,000 has been imposed on each of the convicts.The deceased woman, Usha Rani, was found strangled to death in Turkawali village on Nov 17, 2021. Police investigations revealed that Usha's husband, working in the Border Security Force (BSF), was involved in an illicit affair with another woman.Consequently, the husband allegedly conspired with his paramour and her brother to murder his wife. The couple had two children.Brother of the victim, Sukhwinder Singh, a resident of Naya Salemshah village, said they finally received justice from the court after a wait of five years. He lodged a complaint with the police following his sister's murder in 2021, after which the case proceeded to court.The court has sentenced the victim's husband, Makhan Singh, along with his accomplices, Binder Kaur and Nikka Singh, to life imprisonment. The complainant's lawyer, Rajinder Chuchra, stated that the court ruled in favour of providing state-level facilities for the upbringing and care of the victim's children. MSID:: 129658676 413 |
