"If there's nothing in the bag, then make it public so that the truth comes out before the Sikh community. The community should know if a deal was struck regarding the 328 missing saroops of Guru Granth Sahib; gurdwara treasuries and lands; SGPC elections; and the sacrilege incidents," said Baldev Singh Wadala, Baldev Singh Sirsa, Sukhjit Singh Khose, and other leaders representing different Sikh groups.Addressing a joint press conference here on Monday, these representatives said: "The community demands that Gargaj and the CM of Punjab clarify what happened on Jan 15 when the latter appeared at the Akal Takht secretariat."They said both the jathedar and the CM should clarify within 72 hours what transpired in the Jan 15 meeting and should also make public the video recording of what was in the bag. "Otherwise, we will announce the next programme," the representatives added."Considering the supremacy and prestige of the Akal Takht, it is essential for Gargaj and the CM to be clear on the issues," they added.MSID:: 128948421 413 |
