Ludhiana police gets state-of-the-art seminar hall

Ludhiana: Avon Cycles Limited, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, got a state-of-the art

seminar hall

constructed in Police Lines, Ludhiana. The initiative by the bicycle giant is being hailed by the police department, and on Saturday, director general of police (Punjab) Suresh Arora inaugurated this hall in the presence of high-ranking police officials. Onkar Singh Pahwa, chairman-cum-managing director of Avon Cycles (Ludhiana), police commissioner Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill, and DCPs Ashwani Kapoor and Gagan Ajit Singh too were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Arora said: “We are thankful to Avon Cycle and its owners for helping the police force with such an infrastructure, which will act as a platform to exchange views and organize discussions on policies and matters concerning law and order.” Meanwhile, Pahwa said: “We feel privileged to have got this opportunity to do something for the policemen who sacrifice their lives for the unity and security of the nation.”

During the programme, Avons Rishi Pahwa and Mandeep Pahwa too were present, while founder of Samvedna Trust Ravinder Arora shared details about the works done by the company under the CSR initiative. Leading businessmen were present in the inauguration ceremony.
