Ludhiana DC reviews I-Day arrangements

LUDHIANA: All the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the district level Independence Day function to be held at Government College for Boys on Friday have been made and the final full rehearsal was held here on Thursday in the presence of deputy commissioner Anurag Verma, SSP Narinder Pal Singh and other officers.
Later, Verma presided over a meeting of the district officers at the venue.The deputy commissioner said that transport minister Tej Parkash Singh would unfurl the national flag at the Independence Day function at 9 am and take salute from the parade. Contingents of Punjab police, Punjab Home Guards, ex-servicemen, Scouts, girl Guides will participate in the march past.
