Lt Gen Nair takes over GOC of Vajra Corps

Chandigarh: Lt Gen Vijay B Nair on Wednesday took over as the general officer commanding (GOC) of the prestigious Vajra Corps. An alumnus of Sainik School, Kazhakootam, National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Military Academy (IMA), he was commissioned into an infantry battalion in June 1988 and had the privilege of commanding the same battalion with distinction from 2005 to 2008.He later commanded a brigade in the western sector.
