Voting was held for 11 wards of Dharamkot municipal council and four wards of Fatehgarh Panjtoor nagar panchayat on Sunday.

Overall, the Congress won nine of 11 wards in Dharamkot, while SAD and independents won one each.

In Dharamkot, during counting of votes, Sandeep Singh, husband of Parneet, allegedly vandalized an EVM while seeing that the SAD candidate was getting more votes. The result had to be put on hold for some time but in the final count Manjit got 507 votes and Congress candidate

Parneet

got 355 votes.

Dharampal SDM Gurvinder Singh Johal said that after rechecking it was found that SAD candidate Manjit Kaur got more votes so she won the election. In Fatehgarh Panjtoor, Congress won three of four seats and SAD won one.
