According to information, some employees claimed to have noticed a leopard jumping into the backyard of the thermal plant. Frightened employees apprised their seniors about the incident. The district administration sent a team of experts from wildlife department to capture the big cat. "We are trying our best to catch the leopard. But it is not easy to track a fast-moving animal in such a huge area. There are many complications involved," said an official of the team sent for locating the animal.
To avoid any harm to employees and others, the district administration has restricted entry to the thermal plant complex. "We are not intervening in the work of officials of wildlife department. We are just assisting the team in its search operations," said thermal plant chief engineer Balwan Singh.
