Kiran: No planto leave Cong

Rohtak: Trashing rumours of shifting allegiance, senior Congress leader Kiran Choudhry on Monday said she had no plans to desert her party and join the BJP. Those spreading such misinformation fear my popularity, the Tosham MLA asserted. Kiran, who visited former minister Subhash Batra here on Monday, admitted that “groupism” had harmed the Congress in Haryana but if all worked in unison, the party would benefit. She said: “Rumours of my departure from the party are spread by weak links who are frightened by my popularity. But such false information does not affect me. I am in the party due to my own standing.” She ruled out bypoll in her constituency.
