MOHALI: Seeing her team, Kings-XI Punjab, winning the match against
Chennai Super Kings at the PCA Stadium, in Mohali, on Wednesday brought back her dimpled smile. Dressed in a red-grey salwar kameez and holding her team's flag in her hand, Priety Zinta could not stop herself from jumping up and down and dancing every time a ball went in her team's favour.
The co-owner of the Punjab team got into a happy mood right from the beginning of the match, as the Chennai team lost two wickets in the first two consecutive balls.
She danced with excitement as Suresh Raina got out without opening his account. The enthusiasm of the crowd surged as she took a round of the stadium and waved to the crowd at the end of the first innings, while throwing the team's T-shirt towards the crowd.
'Chak de Phatte' is what she chanted along with the spectators as soon as the countdown for her team's batting began. When the wicket of the captain of the home team, Adam Gilchrist, fell she was a bit upset but on seeing her other batsmen in the field thrashing Chennai team bowlers, the smile on her face was back again.
