CHANDIGARH: To check air pollution in the state, Clean Air Punjab and Asar Social Impact Advisors on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar to set up a Clean Air Punjab Air Care Centre.
The Centre would focus on preventing stubble burning and addressing air quality issues through a series of programs.
It will be staffed by student fellows and issue experts who will work together on solution-oriented approaches to mitigate air pollution.
Rajinder Mohan Singh Chinna, honorary secretary of Khalsa Colleges Punjab, said, “The establishment of the Air Care Centre would help address the pressing environmental issues. By focusing on preventive measures and collaborative problem-solving, we aim to set a new standard for air quality management in the region.”
