Bhagwant Mann inaugurated LPU's annual mega cultural fest, ‘One India-2025'. This year's edition, themed ‘Gatha-e-Bharat: Narratives of Monuments and History', witnessed a celebration of unity in diversity. Students representing 28 states and eight union territories marched together in a procession of tableaus, folk dances, and traditional performances, each reflecting the distinctive spirit of their region.
Reflecting on the festival's inception, LPU chancellor and Rajya Sabha member Ashok Kumar Mittal said the event evolved into a symbol of youth connection, inclusivity, and cultural harmony under LPU's vision of holistic education.
Paris Paralympic 2024 achievers from the university were also felicitated with a total prize money of Rs 42 lakh. Awardees included Sumit (gold, javelin), Mona Aggarwal (bronze, shooting), Pooja Ojha (kayaking), Yash Kumar (kayaking), Sandeep (athletics), Sandip Sargar (athletics), and Rohit Kumar (athletics). Additionally, Alka Awasthi was honoured for her exceptional NSS services, having recently received an award from the President of India.
