Kaushal takes charge as Hry CS

Chandigarh: Sanjeev Kaushal took charge as the 35th chief secretary of Haryana on Wednesday. He said his priority was to provide more strength to the system to resolve issues of common man in a time-bound manner.

Hailing from a family of bureaucrats, Kaushal is the third from family to rise to this stature. His father-in-law B R Ohja was a chief secretary and his brother Sarvesh Kaushal was also the chief secretary of Punjab government.

Earlier, three sisters — Meenaxi Anand Chaudhary, Urvashi Gulati and Keshni Anand Arora — held the post of chief secretaries in Haryana. To Kaushal’s credit, he made Haryana a lal dora-free state as financial commissioner, revenue.
