Karsewa of gurdwara in Pak to be completed by Nov

AMRITSAR: After nearly 80 years the dome of building of Gurdwara Janamastahn Guru Ramdas Chuna Mandi, Lahore is being constructed by Baba Jagtar Singh, karsewa walae, Tarn Taran.

AMRITSAR: After nearly eighty years the dome of building of Gurdwara Janamastahn Guru Ramdas Chuna Mandi, Lahore is being constructed by Baba Jagtar Singh, karsewa walae, Tarn Taran. The karsewa of Gurdwara''s in Pakistan is going on full swing with the help of local Sikh and Muslim populace as a result the karsewa of Gurdwara Janamastahn Guru Ram Das is likely to be completed by the parkash purab of Guru Ram Das following which the karsewa of gold work would be initiated.

The karsewa of sarovar of Gurdwara Nankana Sahib is also likely to be completed by parkash purabof Guru Nanak Dev.
Baba Amrik Singh chief sewadar of Dera Baba Jagtar Singh Karsewa wale while talking to TNN on Saturday said that as many as eighty years ago the dome of the building of Gurdwara Janamasthan Guru Ram Das was removed for repairs but was not constructed again. He said Dera and Sikh sangat feels pride in constructing the dome while rest of the building of Gurdwara was being preserved.
Notably Balwinder Singh, conservation expert during his visit to Lahore had raised objections over the karsewas of Gurdwara buildings of Pakistan and had claimed that preservation work was being grossly ignored.
Amrik Singh informed that as many as 40 Sikhs of Lahore along with their families partake in the karsewa along with many Muslim families who were always ready to extend any kind of help. The karsewa of gold work would start later said he.
He also informed that the karsewa of sarovar of Gurdwara Nankana Sahib measuring about 170 by 170 feet and 15 feet in depth would be completed by November. Baba Gurmukh Singh head of sect had started the karsewa in the year 1940 but had to leave the same half way due to partition. Amrik Singh said the karsewa of sarovar have been resumed and sarovar would regain its glory in near future.
