Jind woman held for killing 9-month-old twin daughters

Jind: The police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a woman for allegedly strangulating her nine-month-old twin daughters to death nearly two weeks ago.SHO, Narwana Sadar police station, Atma Ram said the woman was arrested on the complaint of her husband Jagdeep Singh. After receiving the complaint, police teams reached the graveyard and exhumed bodies for further investigation.The gruesome act was reportedly committed on July 12, when Sheetal was alone at her home with daughters Janki and Janvi.The SHO said three days ago the woman confessed before her parents and husband about killing the daughters. Sheetal is reportedly having a dispute with her husband. “Her husband Jagdeep, who is a daily-wage worker, then lodged a complaint against Sheetal,” said Atma Ram.“We have arrested the accused woman and bodies of the two girls were dug out in presence of a team of doctors, who will ascertain the cause of their death. We will also probe whether anyone else is involved in the incident,” the SHO added.
