The who’s who of the Punjabi film industry including actress Rama Vij and director Manmohan Singh were present.

Satinder Satti, chairperson, Punjab Arts Council said, “The event was organized to bridge the gap between young directors and the well-established personalities of the industry. We wanted the budding talent to draw inspiration from the works of these eminent people and make their short films the best.”

Asked about the difference between Baisakhi of her times and now, Rama Vij said, “I have been born and brought up in Delhi, so I never witnessed a vibrant Baisakhi. I am experiencing the fun and frolic of the festival only after coming to Chandigarh.”

MLA Balbir Singh Sidhu said, “Imparting cultural values in today’s youth could help save Punjab and Sikhism from losing its true essence.”
