Ambala: The police have booked a leader of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and another man, allegedly for demanding Rs 10 lakh from a doctor posted at civil hospital, Ambala Cantonment.
On the complaint of Dr Raghav Sharma, a cardiologist at heart centre of civil hospital, a case was registered against INLD leader Onkar Singh and Devender Kumar Gupta, both residents of Ambala, under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 384 (punishment for extortion) of the IPC at Ambala Cantonment police station on Friday. The doctor said Kumar came after being referred from Rotary Hospital, after a heart attack.
