CHANDIGARH: Karan Thakral gave a talk on ���Building Ecosystem for Entrepreneurship��� at e-Revolution 2009 on Friday and complimented the way governments were assisting entrepreneurs and encouraging them to succeed through proactive behaviour, and said that the way forward was to make one���s own decisions and learn from one���s mistakes.���
He was representing Thakral Computers, Singapore, at the meet.

The event is being organized by Indian Angels Network and Times in Education (TiE), Chandigarh-Punjab.
Sridhar Iyengar, global head of TiE, Silicon Valley, USA, and partner, Bessemer Venture Partners, advised entrepreneurs to focus on opportunities and not threats in these times of financial turbulence, adding that some of the world���s best companies were founded during periods of difficulty.

Satish Bagrodia, chairman of Winsome Group, added that the economic downturn was over and various sectors were on path of growth though there was a greater need to support SMEs through financial reforms.��

Vivek Atray, senior advisor, KPMG, Radhika Shapoorji, managing director, IPAN, and Pradeep Gupta, chairman, Cybermedia, provided a perspective on scaling up operations through appropriate communication and branding.
