CHANDIGARH: The accused behind the leak of PMET exam of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) were also involved in "selling" of PMT exam papers in Himachal Pradesh days before the test was held.
Shimla SP AP Singh told ToC that Himachal police would get production warrant from court to take some of these accused, presently lodged in Burail jail, in their custody to go to the bottom of this scandal.

The HP High Court has cancelled the exam even as Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) authorities remained in a denial mode.
Sources said the accused, whose remand would be sought by the Himachal police, are Jitender, an admission coordinator in New Delhi, Divesh Thakur, who was doing degree course in physical education in Lucknow, Devinder Singh, who hails from Punjab and has a criminal background, and Adarsh Thakur, who was doing bachelor's of dental surgery course from Agra university.
They emerged main suspects after a three-member committee headed by DIG, CID, OC Thakur found that they were in Himachal close to the PMT exams and were in touch with the candidates, who allegedly cleared examination by "buying" the question paper in advance, and their families.
Like UT police, Himachal police are also on look-out of two absconding accused - Raj Bahadur and Maxwell Printing press machine man Jai Jeet Singh. Raj Bahadur was one year senior to Adarsh Thakur and, the police said, was the first to hatch the conspiracy as he got in touch with Jai Jeet.
Though Himachal police's investigation is still in preliminary stage, sources have discounted the possibility of collusion of HPU authorities in the scandal. "They did try a cover-up exercise but it appears to be driven by attempts to save their face.
Very much like PMET leak, PMT leak probably emanated from the printing press," a senior police officer told ToC.
