Hotelier's murder: Challan against SAD leader's son

JALANDHAR: Police filed challan in a local court against SAD MLA Sarabjit Makkar’s councillor nephew Ram Simran Singh Makkar alias Prince Makkar and four others in Gurkirat Singh ‘Gikki’ Sekhon murder case.
Sekhon was killed around midnight of April 20 outside a dhaba in posh Model Town area of Jalandhar, sending a shock wave in the city. The challan was presented in the court of judicial magistrate (first class) Avtar Singh Badra against all the four accused under sections 302 and 34 of IPC.
Makkar and Sunny Sachdeva have also been charged under sections 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act.Meanwhile, police sources revealed that the viscera report of the deceased had already been received and it was found to be normal. However, forensic report of the revolver used in the murder is being expected soon and that would also be submitted to the court. The accused would be provided the copies of the challan by the court on Saturday, said sources.
Gikki, 31, was killed in a brawl between him and four others and murder had triggered a outrage in the city and a big gathering even announced social boycott of Makkars.
