Himachal govt transfers 12 IPS officers; new SPs appointed in Shimla, Una, Solan
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh govt on Thursday evening transferred 12 IPS officers, including superintendents of police (SPs) of three districts.Gaurav Singh was posted as SP Shimla, Sachin Hiremath as SP Una, and Tirumalaraju SD Varma as SP Solan. Sandeep Kumar Bhardwaj was posted as ADC to governor, Sakshi Verma as SP, state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau at Mandi, and Arvind Chaudhary as commandant, 4th Indian Reserve Battalion, Jangalberi.

Abhishek Dular was posted as IG, communication and technical services; DK Chaudhary as IG, armed police and training, Daroh; Rohit Malpani as DIG, cyber crime; Ramesh Chander Chhhajta as DIG, prisons and correctional services; and Devakar Sharma as DIG, intelligence and security, Dharamshala. Soumya Sambasivan was handed additional charge of principal, Police Training College, Daroh.Meanwhile, the present Shimla SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, who was promoted to DIG, was placed at the disposal of the department of personnel. Outgoing Una SP Amit Yadav was directed to report to the state police headquarters.
