Haryana: One dead, three injured in midnight shooting in Yamunanagar
YAMUNANAGAR: One person has died while three got injured in a midnight shooting on one group by another in Sector 17, HUDA,

On the complaint of Mohit, the police have registered a case against three identified suspects including Manoj of Bhatia Nagar, Yamunanagar,
Family members of deceased Janu protested at Fountain Chowk in Yamunanagar, demanding arrest of accused people. Bilaspur DSP Ashish Chaudhary reached the spot and pacified the family after which they ended the protest.
In his complaint, Mohit said that he works as a salesman and had come to Yamunanagar from Ludhiana, for attending his sister's marriage.
"On April 15, at about 9.30 pm, I along with Janu, Bobby, Akash alias Shanu, Bittu, and Rajat had gone from Janu's home for attending the marriage of our friend Ronak Kalra at Vintage Grill Palace, Jagadhri. At 12.45 am on April 16, when we were leaving from a marriage function at Vintage Grill Palace and were about to sit in our car, about 15 to 20 people armed with country-made pistols came there and started shooting at us", said Mohit.
Mohit said the assailants were talking about killing Janu, adding that in the shooting, he received two bullet injuries in his legs and he fell down.
The complainant said that the assailants confronted Janu and shot at him. He said they attacked his friend Rajat, who was also injured and one Anmol had also received a bullet injury.
Mohit said the assailants made casteist remarks against Janu. Hearing the shooting, people came out of the marriage function after which the assailants fled away from there.
"I managed to identify Manoj, Sachin Pandit, and Sumit. Janu was rushed to a private hospital in Yamunanagar, where he died due to bullet injuries", said Mohit.
Sector 17, HUDA, Jagadhri SHO Jasbir Singh said, "The accused people are absconding and efforts are being made to arrest them. The dead body of the deceased Janu was handed over to the family members after post-mortem."
