Haryana CM's 'Man Friday' to look after housing schemes in Haryana

Jawahar Yadav has been made incharge for state-wide planning and monitoring of housing schemes including ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)’, ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural)’, and ‘

Deen Dyal Jan Awas Yojana

’.

An official spokesman said that Yadav would also ensure coordination of the efforts of all departments concerned. He would also keep the chief minister apprised of the progress in this regard on a regular basis.

Besides, the chief minister has directed that Yadav be invited to all meetings to review the progress on all schemes related to housing apart from meetings of State Urban Development Authority, State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee and State Level Appraisal Committee.

A former Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Yadav in 2015 had asked to be relieved from the chief minister's office (CMO) while expressing his wish to work for the party.

Yadav was handpicked by Khattar for the post of OSD immediately after he took oath as CM in 2014. A part of CM's core team, Yadav had played a key role in defending the administration on various occasions, including the case of controversial preacher Rampal, Sunped dalit violence in Faridabad, and issues related to cow slaughter that surfaced in the first year of the BJP-led government in Haryana.

He had also been instrumental in successful mediation between the government and the protesting computers teachers, lab attendants and other employees' organizations.
