Haryana Budget 2025 Live Updates: Subsidy under 'Mera Pani Meri Virasat Yojana' increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 per acre, says CM Nayab Singh Saini
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has begun presenting his first state budget, marking his debut as finance minister. The budget is expected to prioritize key sectors, with a special focus on agriculture, farmers' welfare, and sustainable rural development. Additionally, the government has significantly increased its allocation for cow protection, raising funds from ?2 crore in 2014 to ?425 crore, along with enhanced support for cattle fodder and shelters. Two dedicated cow sanctuaries have been built in Panipat and Hisar to accommodate stray cattle, with further expansion plans underway. Addressing the Vidhan Sabha, Governor Bandaru Dattatraya reiterated the government’s commitment to ‘Viksit Haryana-Viksit Bharat’ and called for collective efforts towards the state's holistic development.
