CHANDIGARH:
Haryana Police has seized 50,000 banned medicines and arrested four persons, including a woman, while they were carrying the contraband in a car in Sirsa district.
Those arrested were identified as Ajay of village Khori Kalan in Mewat and Mukesh, Ravi and Radha, all residents of Rajasthan.
A Haryana Police spokesperson said Monday that a police team, while patrolling, stopped a car near Ding Morh for checking.
During the search, 50,000 tablets, falling under the category of prohibited medicines, were recovered.
The accused — who have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act — will be produced in the court and taken on remand.
